Abstract Proposed is an original technology for storage and search of color photo and video still images, based on special methods for image file processing and recognition. The proposed solution, providing the means for storage of databases of millions color images and the search among tens of thousands for image files, can be implemented on an over-the-counter PC. The underlying methodology involves the transformation of image files into digital strings of 16 or 32 numbers (thus minimizing the volume of an original image file by several thousand times). Thus obtained digital strings represent image digital proxies (IDP) which can be compared, sorted and searched for, by applying the previously described infothyrister principle. The accuracy and sensitivity of the underlying method for data processing and analysis is such that it identifies even one- or few-pixel differences between images. |
